Zalmi TV Sets New Benchmark for Digital Sports Coverage in Pakistan
When Peshawar Zalmi won their second Pakistan Super League (PSL) title in 2026 at Gaddafi Stadium, the celebrations were not limited to television screens. Fans also followed every moment on Zalmi TV, the franchise's own digital sports platform, which has grown into one of Pakistan's leading digital sports media networks.
Zalmi TV is the official digital media platform of Peshawar Zalmi, the PSL franchise owned by Javed Afridi, CEO of Haier Pakistan.
Launched with the vision of providing sports fans with quality digital content, Zalmi TV describes itself as Pakistan's first digital sports infotainment network under the slogan #AllThingsSports.
Over the years, it has expanded beyond being a franchise media channel. Today, Zalmi TV produces sports news, exclusive interviews, podcasts, original shows, documentaries, and behind-the-scenes content for cricket fans across multiple digital platforms. The platform is led by Peshawar Zalmi's Head of Media, Ameer Hamza Asif, and its programming is regularly backed by franchise partners such as Ufone 5G, Haier, Cheezious, Crumble, Lattafa and Gobi's Paints.
Although it is the official media platform of Peshawar Zalmi, Zalmi TV covers much more than just the franchise.
The platform regularly reports on Pakistan cricket, including Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announcements, national team updates, squad selections, press conferences, international series, domestic tournaments, and major developments in the sport.
Along with news coverage, Zalmi TV also produces match highlights, exclusive player interviews, training session videos, podcasts, discussion shows, and behind-the-scenes content. Zalmi TV also promotes women's cricket through initiatives such as the Zalmi Women League. While cricket remains its primary focus, Zalmi TV has steadily expanded its coverage to include other major sports. The platform regularly reports on football, Formula 1, Olympic events, and other international competitions. Most recently, Zalmi TV delivered extensive coverage of the FIFA World Cup, publishing match updates, analysis, highlights, short-form videos, reels and dedicated graphics across its digital platforms. This multi-format approach allowed fans to follow the tournament through both video content and real-time social media updates, further strengthening Zalmi TV's position as a comprehensive digital sports platform.
Over the years, Zalmi TV has significantly expanded its audience, increased its digital reach, and diversified its sports content, establishing itself as one of Pakistan's leading digital sports media platforms.
One of its biggest milestones came in 2026 when it partnered with myco, Pakistan's watch-and-earn streaming platform. The partnership allows both platforms to produce and distribute sports content together, helping Zalmi TV reach an even larger audience.
To further extend its reach, Zalmi TV has partnered with other OTT platforms, including Tamasha and BigBaat.
Tamasha has established itself as one of Pakistan's most-used streaming apps for live sports and entertainment.
At the same time, BigBaat has emerged as one of the country's fastest-growing digital platforms, known for live-streaming, short-form video content, and interactive fan engagement — having streamed HBL PSL matches to audiences nationwide. These collaborations have enabled Zalmi TV to distribute its original programming, exclusive interviews, podcasts, and sports coverage across multiple digital streaming services, further strengthening its presence in Pakistan's growing digital media landscape.
The platform's growth has also gone hand in hand with the success of Peshawar Zalmi. After winning their second PSL title in 2026, the franchise also secured its place in the league until 2035.
The Pakistan Super League remains Zalmi TV's biggest area of coverage.
Throughout every PSL season, the platform provides complete tournament coverage, including player drafts, squad announcements, jersey launches, training sessions, press conferences, exclusive interviews, match previews, post-match analysis, and behind-the-scenes access inside the team's dressing room.
Fans also get quick match updates, reaction videos, and expert discussions across Zalmi TV's digital platforms, making it a one-stop destination for PSL content.
Zalmi TV has built a strong audience through its original programming.
Its flagship podcast, Off Topic Zalmi Podcast, features long-form conversations with leading cricketers and well-known personalities. Hosted by Ameer Hamza Asif, the show welcomed guests including Babar Azam, Saim Ayub, Mohammad Haris, Aamir Jamal, and Umar Gul, and other Pakistani and overseas players.
International Coverage of OFF-Topic Zalmi Podcast
Major media in India have picked up several Off Topic moments. Hindustan Times ran two notable articles based on Zalmi TV interviews with Babar Azam.
In April 2024, HT reported Babar’s revelation about advice from Virat Kohli:
"I always try and talk to him whenever we play against each other. I always ask him a few questions, and he helps me with it. Not only him, I also talk a lot to Steve Smith and Kane Williamson when we play against Australia and New Zealand, respectively. I had a good chat with Virat Kohli; there are things that we talk about that I can’t share here, but it was fruitful," citing the Zalmi TV interview.
Back in 2023, Hindustan Times covered Babar’s comments on “prefer BBL Over IPL” again quoting directly from the Zalmi TV podcast. These pieces linked Zalmi TV’s content to broader cricket debates in India, effectively amplifying the podcast’s reach.
On the Pakistan side, off-topic content is widely reported by local news sites and social pages.
Another popular programme is Headlines First, hosted by sports journalist Abdul Ghaffar. The show focuses on the biggest cricket stories, team selections, match analysis, and important developments in Pakistan and international cricket.
Zalmi TV has built a strong presence across almost every major social media platform.
Its content is available on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), Threads, Spotify, Tamasha & myco streaming platforms.
Through these channels, Zalmi TV delivers breaking news, match coverage, exclusive interviews, podcasts, short videos, and original sports content to cricket fans in Pakistan and around the world.
From covering Pakistan cricket and the PSL to producing original sports shows and exclusive interviews, Zalmi TV has become much more than a franchise media channel. It continues to grow as a trusted digital sports platform, connecting millions of fans with the latest cricket news and behind-the-scenes stories while helping shape the future of digital sports journalism in Pakistan.
How to Buy Game Top-Ups Through Banking and Wallet Apps in Pakistan
Buying in-game currency in Pakistan has long been an obstacle course. You find a game, you need UC or Diamonds, and then the friction starts: international cards get declined, unfamiliar websites ask for your account password, and delivery is anyone's guess. For players who pay in rupees and manage money from a phone, the payment step — not the game — is often the hard part.
That is changing. The banking and wallet apps Pakistanis already use every day are turning into places where you can shop for digital products directly, not just send money. Instead of hunting for a separate top-up site, you can reach a full gaming catalogue from inside an app you already trust.
